Oxil is a unique artwork created on a recycled CD, transformed into a contemporary art medium.

Conceived as a symbol of passage and protection, this work explores the notion of the threshold: those invisible spaces where something opens, transforms, or begins.

🌠 Side A – Oxil • The Guardian of the Threshold

Born from the tides of stars, Oxil spins endlessly to keep the passages between worlds open.

Its brilliance forces nothing: it whispers, it guides, it entrusts travelers with the coordinates of a better elsewhere.

Each rotation is a watch, each light a call toward the benevolent unknown.

Specific technique: application in droplets and pushing with a pen, bringing relief and vibration to the surface.

The iridescent reflections of the CD reinforce this impression of circular movement and cosmic depth.

🔮 Side B – The Legend of Oxil • The Guardian of the Threshold

Forged in the cosmic breath, Oxil protects the invisible boundaries where secret paths are born.

Each painted circle becomes a portal, each shade a vibration that resonates with searching spirits.

He watches over the thresholds like an ancient guide, guardian of passages that only open hearts can perceive.

This second side deepens the symbol: no longer just the guardian, but the memory of the guardian.

This piece is created from a recordable CD originally destined for disposal, carefully cleaned and transformed through an artistic upcycling process.

Instead of becoming waste, the disc becomes a surface for expression. Its unique metallic reflections make each piece truly one of a kind.

In my studio in Jouy-en-Josas, France, I give forgotten materials a second life, integrating them into a contemporary recycled art practice.
