Two forces dialogue : the silent light of the abyss, and the flamboyant glow of transformation.
The circle of the disc becomes a symbol of cosmic cycle: descend, cross, reappear.
🌊 Face A – Star of the Abyss • Glow lost in the ocean of time
In the heart of darkness where the sea touches infinity, shines the Star of the Abyss.
She guides lost souls into the depths, revealing invisible paths.
Its light is only shown to those who dare to explore the unknown.
The iridescent reflections of the CD evoke underwater scintillations, moving and mysterious depending on the angle of light.
It symbolizes introspection, inner courage and silent quest.
✨ Face B – Nova • The Breath of Creation
When a star is extinguished in the silence of the sky, Nova is born in a dazzling brightness.
It carries the memory of what was and the promise of what will be.
His fire does not destroy: it transforms. Where Nova illuminates, the world is reborn in a new form.
The surface of the disc amplifies this impression of luminous, vibrant and alive explosion.
Nova embodies rebirth, mutation and creative power.
♻️ An Upcycled CD-R Art Creation
This piece is created from a recordable CD originally destined for disposal, carefully cleaned and transformed through an artistic upcycling process.
Instead of becoming waste, the disc becomes a surface for expression. Its unique metallic reflections make each piece truly one of a kind.
In my studio in Jouy-en-Josas, France, I give forgotten materials a second life, integrating them into a contemporary recycled art practice.
